If you’re diagnosed with a root infection, the goal is to treat the issue as soon as possible to prevent or stop pain and swelling and save your tooth.
Your Eagan dentist numbs the area around the tooth and gently extracts the infected tissues from the canal. We then wash the canal and close it off with a temporary filling material. At a future appointment, typically a week or two later, you come in for a tooth-colored filling or a dental crown.
